Write for Us!

If you are interested in writing for The 1600 but cannot commit to a full-time position that’s okay! Students who are not a member of The 1600, can still submit writing or artwork for the paper as guest writers. If you want to write an essay, op-ed, or narrative journalism piece, then this form is for you. Please submit your work through a link to a google doc—and make sure that the access is set to Marin Academy.

Guest writer policies:

• All guest writers shall receive credit on our site.
• All submitted guest work can be edited by The 1600 team or chosen to not be published.
• All policies that apply to our staff writers apply to guest writers, including omission for plagiarism, uncredited sources, and untruthful reporting.
